I believe most of the urlhasbeenblocked bulbs like these that require a hub run on the Zigbee protocol, which Gogole home does not have built in natively, so I believe you will have to use the included hub.

Believe the idea is you leave the light switch on and you replace all the bulbs in the fixture. Though could be wrong as I've never personally used these.
