I'd say first thing blow out the holes to get rid of road grime. Use a wire brush in the threads to clean them up too. Then try the bolts without the hitch in place and see how well they thread in....

Taco is short for Tacoma (pickup by Toyota). But you could find for vans and cars as well. Look for warehouse used before you buy new.
