Did they charge tax? I'm at checkout for $744.75. If there isn't tax then it's cheaper than at Lowes with my military discount since they charge tax. Was thinking of of doing an outside gas hookup...

for those not in the know, no oxygenated gasoline = ethanol free gas (and free of other stuff too) ethanol is bad for these generators and carburators. you can look at this map (or Sunoco website)...

For plugging into the house, I'd find something a bit bigger like 6000 watts just in case you run some electric stoves

At 3700 watts this can power absolutely anything with a plug, even up to 240v 20a plugs EXCEPT this doesn't do 240v.

For using as house emergency power, esp with this amount of power, it would be nice to be able to power a well pump or a wall AC unit. It will also enable you to power both buses of your breaker...
