I guess for some people there is no price too high to keep their gainz. Gyms have been shut down since March here in Cali and it doesn't look like they are opening anytime soon.

I had the same question and did a bit of research. First at 50 lbs each, these aren't *that* much more expensive. It's a set of 2 50lb weights for a total of 100 lbs. This is a $100-$150...

I would think a lot of the price has to do with the design. Someone had to engineer the mechanism that adjusts to grab the different plates. Plus they know that its still cheaper than buying...
