Just bought 32GB of ram off of ebay for $120 and now this pops up for $80! I checked the listing and the seller doesn't offer any returns on eBay. Anyway around this to save the $40?

It will probably work at the lower speed. Might want to do some google searches. If it doesn't work, someone probably posted somewhere the warning.

Yes, it'll just run both at 2666Mhz. In your case, you just want to buy whichever one is cheaper as you'll derive no benefit from 3200Mhz memory.

If a laptop came with 2666Mhz memory, how do you determine before making the purchase if it'll even run at 3200Mhz if you upgraded to 3200Mhz memory?

What wiffle meant by his reply is that this deal is for SODIMM 260 pin (laptop) memory and will not work for your HP workstations which is ddr4 288-pin memory.

Any concerns on replacing one of the 2400mhz 4gb DDR4 SODIMM (260 pin) rams with this one, to have a total of 20gb? Wondering if the two rams with different speeds would behave well with each other?

I have an xps 15 9550 with 2x4gb. If I install just this 1 stick, will there be a significant disadvantage in using this single channel memory versus 2x8gb dual channel?
