The 2tb is based off 512 dies so while fast the 1tb has 256 dies and looks quicker so not sure if the speed difference would actually be noticeable when used as a o/s and application drive.

Yup. I had to think long and hard if I wanted to save some bucks or go with the 970 Evo Plus. The Evo Plus won out barely but the Adata drive was the 2nd option behind it.
