I think you may have gotten MPH and CFM mixed up. The Ryobi is 280CFM. This Kobalt is 410CFM. Kobalt is almost double power AND brushless motor. But yes, 18v Ryobi is great for homeowners.

CFM is cubic feet per minute. MPH is miles per hour. The milwaukee is 120 MPH and 450 CFM. The Kobalt is 100 MPH and 410 CFM. Nobody said the Kobalt is 410 MPH.

Yes agree this is not ideal. As a previous person said an air diverter from ebay to focus the stream is better. The duck bill ones like the ones that come with the new rigid vacuums are good as well....
