Coolers this small are useless outside of a tiny case build. Any $40 air cooler is a better buy.

I don't think they are being passive aggressive. Most testing show that the air coolers they are recommending are quieter because they run at lower fan speeds, no pump noise, and have more heat...

This. For $60 you can get this scythe cooler. It cools my 3800x and is extremely quiet. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07QMK5R45?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Good info. Thanks peeps! I would have thought this would be better than a tower cooler. Guess I'll stick with my CM Evo, which allows for an intake and exhaust fan on the massive heat sink. ...

I agree, pretty sure these people have never used an AIO because after having one for about 10 months, I am pretty sure they are superior in every way. I love my 240mm AIO.

I’ve been hearing the Scythe is the way to go. Do you happen to know if it’s a substantial upgrade over a 212 Hyper Evo? I can’t find a good comparison online. Thanks

I have the scythe cooler also and it's been quiet and cool. If you have an existing fan that runs cool and quiet it would probably not be cost effective.

FWIW, a good tower cooler like the Hyper 212 or Noctua NH-U12S is usually a better option than cheap AIO coolers, if your case can accommodate them.
