I wouldnt expect to see huge gains though. It has been discussed on reddit that for mobile chips there's only so much power you can push. The TDP is already pretty high for 2xxx series.

The new ryzen chips release next month; if it's going to happen, this will be the gen it happens with. September 2020 is not a good time to be buying a 144Hz laptop running on a GPU that is basically...

Any gaming laptop come anywhere close to $1000 should have 16gb RAM pre-installed. 8gb is not going to cut it, and the average person shouldn't have to deal with upgrading themselves.

Gotcha. So there won't be any 30x gpu in sub-$250 price range?

New processors come out in October. New GPU units come out next week. The lag time for this to hit laptops will me around March of 2021. The gains are worth it and there has NEVER been a bigger...

The reason is because laptop makers didn’t know AMDs new Ryzen chips would blow the fark out their previous cpus. AmD chips has always lagged behind intel and so that’s why no one really bought them...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raAKFyKMR8A I think it's somewhere in the neighborhood of a 1660ti, without the goodies like ray tracing that its 2060 sibling can do. Real world results depend on...

Why would there be? They were jus released. The 1660S at release was priced higher. If you dont need 144hz 1440p gaming then you are good... but if you want to exponentially gain power for price...

I’ve had sampled a few such systems with 8GB of ram on windows 10 and I’ll say this it’s nowhere near as bad as Vista was with 4GB of ram even on a desktop with a mighty Phenom x4. And back then many...

All good points. But tell me, how many laptops can you buy today with Ryzen 7 CPU and anything better than the 2060? Notice how no one is building Ryzen 7 laptops with higher performance GPU chips?...

1660ti is around $300 (1536 CUDA cores, 6 GB GDDR6, 192 bit) RTX3070 will be priced $499. (5888 CUDA cores, 8GB GDDR6, 256 bit) Comparing the two is ridiculous at best as the 1660ti won't...

Just bought this like 2 weeks ago. Honestly I could not be more pleased with it. $50 of ram and a spare m.2 later and I'm off and running. I will warn that it's 2-4gb sticks not 1-8gb of ram.
