Nice! Glad you like it. We just started on our 10 lbs of Costa Rican Medium whole bean. It's more expensive than the Brazilian, but the flavor is more complex and rich. Might go for something...

I received this a couple days ago, via the link above, from vilar imports from Brazil. I went for the 2lbs medium roast, whole beans for $16. I run it through my super automatic, Gaggia Bera. I...

My point is simply that you haven't tried using Vilar coffee for espresso. It might make good espresso or it might not, but you don't know. If people are looking for beans to make drip coffee then it...

There is zero difference between “espresso” beans and non espresso dark roast beans other than the suggestion of how to use them, and maybe the producers guess at what type of blend might make a good...

That's important because this thread is about espresso coffee. That's not to say that people don't use Lavazza for other types of coffee, but it's pitched as espresso so we should compare like with...

I’ve only ever had medium! And it hasn’t been excessively oily, but also not bone dry like some mass produced brands. We buy and drink in bulk, so it’s taking a while to try them all out. May just go...

This deal is YMMV. If you've already done the S&S thing the coupon is not applicable.

Amazon lavazza sale seems to be very hit or miss. Sometimes you get completely stale beans

Robusta is generally considered the inferior bean, so that's probably why Lavazza and the "smart people" don't advertise or list the actual robusta percentage on their robusta/arabica blends. If...

I think there are smart people selling this stuff that would like us to believe that. Starbucks quite expertly ruined what's perceived as espresso in the US. Their "espresso" is just whatever drip...

Don’t “Italian” espresso blends, like this one, tend to have a bit more robusta in the mix for the crema?

It’s great for drip. Espresso roast is simply marketing to the US market. In Italy or France espresso is made from good quality medium roast coffee beans. There is no such thing as an espresso bean.
