Best deal is to load up on 3 years of ultimate while you can via the live gold conversion. That way you get xCloud access. If you do the brazilian VPN method it's even cheaper than this.

Still works for me as of this comment, though another screen has been added before you get to extend. The screen lets you click on "show more purchase options" and then you keep going.

I personally wouldn't hold the codes/cards for 3 years, never know if cdkeys might use your unused codes then you are out of $90 for holding.
