You still have 4GB + 4GB in dual channel and the rest is in single channel. My experience on a desktop is dual channel RAM does not improve overall perforance by much. I only get about 1~2%...

In my case, I replace the sindgle 4GB RAM with SO-DIMM 16GB 3200MHz. Total 20GB, works well. There is a small metal cover over the SO-DIMM module, so please be gentle. I wonder anyone have tried...

Well I just got this laptop today and I'm disappointed that Asus included neither usb c charging or usb c display port alt mode even though the usb c is 10gbps. Kinda defeats the point of usb c huh?
