You can have dual chanel memory, but it would be limited to 8gb, any additional memory would be in single channel. Because you can only have dual channel up to double the smallest stick installed....

Well I just got this laptop today and I'm disappointed that Asus included neither usb c charging or usb c display port alt mode even though the usb c is 10gbps. Kinda defeats the point of usb c huh?

You still have 4GB + 4GB in dual channel and the rest is in single channel. My experience on a desktop is dual channel RAM does not improve overall perforance by much. I only get about 1~2%...

Theoretically in a slickdeals utopia you would buy a $250 laptop and have it last you for 25 years for total cost of ownership of $10/year. If you do that, I think you're going to need 16gb.

Unfortunately flex screen is very dim .. And styles holder uses up one usb slot. But screen is extremely dim so I returned it. At highest brightness it's only about 70% of other laptop I've had.......
