You know it has less cases than the US right? And I believe the use of the word "Jap" has a racist connotation since WW2 so you might want to refrain from that.

I had to cancel the trip back in March and Cheapoar charged me $70 I think for it. Now I wonder if I do that with Kayak, will they charge me too, if the travel is still banned?

If you have chase points, you can book similar flights for around the same price with no change fees. I think they let you change at least until end of 2020. Great deal OP!
