The blade guard is there for a reason, if you don’t want things to be shaken by the saw bring them firm agains the guard to get more stable and efficient cut, I have no issues cutting most of things...

There are two basic chargers for the M12 & M18 tools that Milwaukee produces. If you get a M18 tool kit chances are you'll get the combo M18-M12 battery charger....
