I'd probably go with the paper version of this book for 26. As stated above it's more a coffee table book that you casually look at it then something you would read cover to cover

I picked up the 1st edition as a gift and bought the eBook for myself. Great book about strange (and sometime macabre) places in the world.

The hardcover‘s list price was $37.50. This is an e-book. Regardless, I can almost guarantee no one ever paid $40 for either.

I have the first edition. It probably works best as a coffee table book to pick up and flip through occasionally, but at this price it's wouldnt be bad to have on an ereader. It's based on a website,...

I actually have the hardcover version of this book, and it highlights interesting places around the world. Definitely get it if you have wanderlust and want ideas for your next adventure.

You know what, good point. This is from a review of the book, not the book itself, and there's no reason to think the book also takes this point of view. I'll withdraw my thumbs down- thanks for...

I use the website a lot for finding off the beaten path attractions in road trips or vacations. This may be best as a coffee table book so ebook doesn't make sense to me.
