I'm not sure why the refurb s.5's directly from Apple aren't getting more love here. You have a selection of colors and it's the same warranty... $309 isn't THAT far from $299 for the 40mm ones....

Correct. In it’s always on mode it’s brighter but if you turn the watch to face you and it goes to proper “on” mode it will still be limited to 1000 nits. I’m definitely buying the 5 over the SE...

SE has the S6 brightness advantage in the sun that the S5 doesn't have. ECG is great for some people, I've used it three times in nearly two years so its useless to me.
