Actually it was long back and I actually purchased two of them. Amazon used to run lightning deals on SABRENT SSDs regularly. I was even able to fetch their Rocket 1TB external SSD at $99.

I think you are not aware that M.2 SSD can be either PCIe NVMe or SATA III. I was referring the Team Group M2. SATA III SSD which is selling at $78....

Have you tested battery life on laptop? How do they compare? I thought CS3030 supports mentioned encryption. Does A2000 have more encryption support? I am going to put the drive on work laptop....

I have both. From a performance standpoint, the PNY CS3030. If you need the encryption/security features (like TCG OPAL), A2000 is the best value to get full security suite.

Neither SN750, nor Sabrent Rocket 1TB, available at this price. They are at least $30 costlier at this time. You will mostly get DRAM less SSDs like Intel 665P or the WD SN550 or The SABRENT Rocket Q...
