To that effect, even though they may have less errors, Apple's own Lightning Cables are junk. My kid good through them just as quick as the generic cables and they're usually twice the cost.

Please don’t waste your money. Go and buy the Anker ones. I bought 5 3 years ago when I bought the phone. The OEM cables died in less than a year, the Anker ones are still rock solid..
