Seems this is dead again? Anyone know what the ASL code is all about and whether we’ll see it again soon?

Nope. There are diminishing returns on resolution over FHD. FHD to UHD was a marginable, nearly unnoticeable "improvement." In fact, 1080P content still looks better and more detailed on my 8 year...

Viewing angles and dark/bright conditions aren’t really related. I’m just saying IPS is good at viewing angles and not good in dark environments, so purchasers should take both into account for their...

What does viewing angle have anything to do with dark/light conditions? IPS has better color consistency across wider viewing angles...nothing to do with brightness...IPS also has a slower refresh...

I can confirm this. I actually recently bought the 4k version of this exact same TV. Looks pretty good in the daylight, but at night this panel is terrible and basically unwatchable. It's local...

FYI for those looking for the source of the “can’t do 8K@60hz 4:4:4/RGB” claim, it’s in the manual for the TV, which you can download from LG’s support website (unfortunately it’s not a PDF but a...

It does have 4k 120hz, I bought this to have a good gaming tv and I'm pleased with the picture quality so far. I do notice 8k content being much better than 4k, so I don't think it is a useless...

I’ll never buy an OLED from LG again. I play video games and the static health bars burned into the tv & I would only play an hour at a time. The pixel refresher never helped no matter how many times...

Yes but like the other poster said “Nano99 don't support DSC so can't do 8K@60hz 4:4:4/RGB; it can only go up to 8K@60hz 4:2:0.”

Its a horrible 2010 TV at a large size (75") with too many pixels (8K) WITHOUT 120Hz and WITH a marketing gimmick (Nanocell) to avoid quantum-dot tech and royalties, all of which produces inferior...
