Its a deal, but not a great deal, Amazon is already doing $199 for QLC 2TB SSDs, while QLC may not be as good as TLC, its 99% enough for the average consumer, meaning that if you don't move terabytes...

I emphasized that QLC is not better than TLC. QLC vs TLC for an average consumer is essentially BMW vs Toyota, do you need the BMW to get things done? No, I'm not arguing toyota is better here. You...

No worries, It would be nice for the higher capacity units ones to come down in price soon so that the TLC premium is even smaller. Great discussion nonetheless.

Yes, I agree, longevity is a difference maker between the two. However, I think it's also important to note that the larger SSD's double or sometimes triple the longevity of smaller 256/512Gb units,...

I'll disagree in that longevity, QLC will fail faster than TLC. Depending on quality of the chips, you may see it sooner than later. I had a crucial drive fail quickly that was QLC and it sucked...

IMHO the SN750 is overrated. I have both in 1TB version. Not seeing performance differences in real life use and mixed bag in benchmark. What is real is this one runs much cooler than the SN750.

I think I'm taking your "99%" statement too literally. I tend to hold onto my hard drives until they fail--at least 5 years, often 8, and move a lot of data. Even then, I'm probably not filling up...
