Nothing out of the ordinary. Seems like some people have complained about noise, but I can't say anything about that. Mine is extremely quiet. At least so far.

Yes it can work as NAS but I (nor most) do not recommend using this for nas unless you know exactly what you are doing. CPU is an overkill for the processing needed to be used as dedicated NAS. not...

This would be a horrible NAS. It's like 1.2" thick and 7" wide. There is no room for drives in it.
