Read up on the broken hinge issue with the Dell G3. I had to send mine in to get the entire top half replaced. Many issues with these. If you decide to go with this, it's only a matter of time...

2020 Nitro 5 comes with two M.2 slots and one 2.5" slot. So, you can either add another M.2 or SATA III 2.5" SSD. For game storage, my suggestion will be going for a cheaper 2.5" SATA III SSD....

I think Acer came with 1x8GB, But I have to check it again. Regarding the drives, I am kinda late to the game so I am having trouble telling the difference between the one that's $80 and one...

Depends on what you are doing with the space.... Right now, if you need "space" a 2TB WD Blue drive is the way to go.

I've been checking laptop prices for the past 2 weeks; for the featues that this one has (1080, 10th gen i5, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD, dedicated GTX, backlit keyboard, Wifi 6)... it definitely is. As with...

Thanks for the details. Do games need the NVMe read/write speeds? Maybe they will load a few seconds faster? 1TB for $79 seems OK, I guess prices went up recently? I couldn't find the ADATA A2000...

Wait. I’ve been watching gaming laptops daily. Your 1650 will be outdated very soon and is useless for VR already. With the new GPU coming out and new CPU chips, you likely can get at least a 1660 to...

Depends on what you are doing. Most of these budget gaming laptops, when performance mode is selected and both CPU and GPU under stress, will make noise.

We probably aren't going to get a mobile GPU refresh this product cycle unless AMD has a navi part. Rumors are ampere is too power hungry / hot to work in a mobile platform like a laptop.

4600H is definitely faster and it actually beats i7-10750H. However, with a GTX 1650 Ti, game performance is more or less similar. It is CPU demanding tasks where 4600H dominates. But Acer Nitro...

Exactly. And with the 1650 it doesn’t look like it’ll be able to run any new games at high settings. IMO it’s worth it to pay $300 more for a 1660 with 16gb and 500gb-1tb ssd. Looks like MSI has...
