Agreed that running clean new oil through an old dirty filter doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Especially when you're a Slickdealer, getting the stuff cheap or practically free after rebate anyway....

Look it's a case by case basis. If someone came in and put 1k miles on a car in 18 months any mechanic should be recommending the owner at least have them swap the oil every 12 months. Technology has...

Then you fall into what I said which is if the manufacturer says it’s ok then fine. Most do not. Either way my filter always has and always will be changed every oil change. If the rest of you want...

I’ve been an idiot doing this since they got a 20k mile rating. My Hondas are scheduled to get a filter every other oil change. Their oil changes are due at ~10k miles. And this filter is better than...

I had an ‘07 SI and it for sure has the same A and B intervals in the maintenance minder for when to change the filter, which is every other oil change.

I have one that's similar, No-Spill Systems, on my '11 Silverado. It's fantastic but it does drain a little slower than regular drain bolt but when I change my oil, I'm not doing it for expediency...

Fram Ultra absolutely is. It's one of the better filters you can get, especially for the price.

After watching reviews where they take apart filters, I don’t buy anything Fram at all anymore. Usually just NAPA Gold for oil, engine air and cabin air filters.

Wow this is definitely cool. I'll try on my next vehicle if we are still allowed to buy gas vehicles or we are all gonna follow California.

you might want to try valvomax drain valve next time at www.valvomax.com I am using both in different cars and valvomax seems better. no doubt ...it makes oil change quick, just drain straight into...

do you not pay attention to your maintenance minder? it goes A/B regularly. But you regularly do 8000rpm so it probably only does B. btw, do you also use a new crush washer every time?

The A or B code will be displayed by the MM, so the manual won’t tell you when you will get the code. Most people and dealers will change the filter every change. There’s no problem with that. I...

My friend was very worried that it was going to be totaled by the dealership. It was a particularly bad time for him due to being unemployed for nearly a year and his daughter in college, so the last...

It wasn't that the cars were sabotaged, it's that oil change intervals were historically given "better safe than sorry" intervals that recommended more frequent intervals that increased number of...

Maybe your Honda's do but my owners manuals do not give specific guidance for that. For the 2007 Civic Si, the owners manual lists an oil change only maintenance interval but doesn't give any...

There’s many dishonest businesses and it was more than likely from that. Name any mechanic, oil change place, plumber, electrician, hvac tech etc. and they’re a dime a dozen and you need to find the...
