What’s the gist of the story? I read the GoodReads synopses and they sounded like pretty generic plots. So I’m guessing they’re just bad synopses.

Reading these right now with ebooks from my local library. First book was very good. I’d say the Broken Earth Trilogy is a little better, at least at this point.
