No DRAM on this one.
I'd spring for $10 more and get one with DRAM.
They also have M2 to SATA adapters if you're fed up with SATA drives but don't have an M2 slot yet.

You don't need DRAM as games are more CPU and GPU intensive and spend more time reading data off the drive than writing to it. So you should be fine using this.

Excuse my ignorance on the topic, but I thought that DRAM would also be preferable if the drive was a boot drive? I am not sure if the reasoning is on the basis of performance or longevity, though..

This is a crap Newegg promoted deal compared to Crucial MX series, especially when NAND/SSD prices have been falling. The cheaper ones are sold at this price before the better ones fall to this price.

I'm nowhere near an EE expert but I don't think devices like memory chips pass or fail in an analog way. That is they either pass/fail like say a diode, they'll either conduct or not.

In addition to being DRAM-less, this drive is QLC, which is slower and less durable than TLC. You can easily find TLC drives in this price range, so this isn't a great deal unless you need storage...
