Unless gearwrench is a good brand that i have never heard of, you'd probably be better off with this hf set. I have had this set for over 8 years. I broke one of the ratchets once and walked into the...

Any reason to choose an impact socket set? I use my impact driver a lot with bolts so was considering an impact set.

For no skip set its good deal, slightly cheaper than tekton 1/4" master set which is $55 and comes with driver and misc bits. Also get 10% back in rewards for tekton.

Nice I'd prefer a regular driver vs that gimmicky palm driver but the ratchet sounds better in gear wrench kit. Also I was referring to the second comment which was referencing reviews on Amazon...

Ah, you guys are talking about the broach or what Tekton calls well depth. I guess we might all have our personal preferences, but GearWrench is in good company as Snap-On, Williams, Proto, SK, etc....

I’ve had this set along with the 3/8” and 1/2” sets for 3 years now. Love them. Way better than the craftsman stuff I grew up with. Highly recommended.

The inside of the deep socket is shallow. Read the damn reviews and look at the pictures yourself. If you don't understand, just ask.
Historically low price, per CCC https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PJPGR4
Also some 3/8" socket sets available through Warehouse Deals for $56.15, as well: GEARWRENCH 56 Pc. 3/8" Drive 6 Pt. 120XP Mechanics Tool Set, Standard & Deep, SAE/Metric ...

Yea no worries. Its owned by apex tool group. Made in Taiwan which is better than buying from China IMO.

The Gearwrench set also includes the driver, extensions and swivel - plus a handy palm driver. And it's 120-tooth versus Tekton's 90-tooth. All for $10 less (with free shipping). The deep...

For impact driver, definitely use impact socket. Chrome socket may not last or it can shatter if used with impact driver. In regards to Gear Wrench, they are very good mid-tier brand that I’ve...

SDers are beyond stupid these days. I'm simply pointing out one of the negative reviews and get three thumbs down. Just read the damn review and see the pictures yourself.

Gearwrench is a common brand of tools. Quality wise they are similar to the old Craftsman before they went Chinese. Far better quality than Harbor Freight.

The deep sockets in the Gear Wrench set are shallow broached, which isn't uncommon and a lot of people actually prefer. Calling them "not being true deep sockets" is a bit ignorant.

No, it doesn't include a driver. I own this set, no driver is included.

The hex shape is only broached into the open end of the sockets, not up into the length of the socket. They are all called deep sockets. Each has its purpose. 1/4" drive is generally for tight spots...

For a ¼ drive set it seems a $50 value is fair I suppose. Personally, I just buy good wrenches, a set of cheaper sockets, and then buy good sockets for the most sizes I will use. I dont need a...
