Nah man that's not true. The i5 has a higher turbo boost than the i3 so the i5 will be faster in single thread and multi thread applications. The i5 also has better integrated graphics.

The Asus has a back-lit keyboard and a fingerprint reader, both of which I have come to really appreciate.. The Acer, as folks have stated, has a better processor, no doubt.
