Apples and oranges. For drilling holes here and there, cordless is fine. If you’re doing a bigger project, forget it. Or if you’re using spades, or drilling anything but wood and plastic.

I have this drill unfortunately. It’s not strong enough to drill a hole in a stud with a 1/2 auger bit. It just hums once the bit grabs.
