These are weaker in sound - mostly bass than the hyper x fury cloud 2 edition. Bought and tested both myself. Both were tested in the same condition and with the usb audio amp these both come with.

I think you have these confused with another model. These don't come with the usb audio amp. Many other HyperX headphones will be much better but they also cost much more.

I can confirm this. My son rolled over his cord and jacked it up and the headset is no longer usable becase the cord is built into the headphone. It is NOT removable/replaceable.

Depends on the quality of the surround. I have a pair of Corsair 7.1's that are phenomenal for directional sound in games, couldn't go back to stereo only.
