The weak part on this Lenovo is that it has the slower SATA SSD drive instead of the faster and desirable NVMe M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 InterfaceSolid State Drive. I will pass.

It's 10th Gen Ice so no it's not brand new, but the 11th Gen literally just launched in the last 2 weeks. Yes 11th is better, but it all comes down to price.

True story, and only really useful for serious computing workloads. For regular user (even power user or gamer), the difference is negligible.

I don't think so, just different price points for different components. You trade a dedicated graphics card and i7 for $120...could be worth it for some people but not everyone
Post #141262124 added 10-15-2020 11:46 AM by woopow in Deal Talk
Really only matters in benchmarks only, real life day to day use, there's negligible difference.

I think that this laptop is a better deal: Lenovo Flex 5 14IIL05 81X1 14" Notebook, Intel i5, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD, Windows 10 (81X1002TUS) - $579.99 ...

Thanks. Which Costco deal are you referring to?
Post #141263990 added 10-15-2020 12:38 PM by lotrbfme in Deal Talk
Yes. This is good for them. Or the costco deal which is $50 more but you get better support
Post #141326384 added 10-17-2020 4:22 PM by MarkInCA in Deal Talk
Yup, this is the one I bought. I never game on my laptop (I do it on my desktop), and having an i7 vs. an i5 is, for my uses, not worth an extra $120.
