They are both pci 4 the x570 and b550 are almost the same. The x570 mostly just has more usb ports or m.2 slots but both perform equally under normal situations (non overclocked systems)

Get X570 MSI Tomahawk and it is a good board . If you need to upgrade for more cores in few years later with limited budget , that board can handle new Zen3 16 core pretty well for sure.
