Your 'opinion,' like other parts of the common anatomy everyone has, was noted and discarded. The personal "benefit" is often in the ability to do it; rather than just talk about it. That said,...

Geez dude, what's with the attitude? There is nothing wrong with the Kreg plastic, it is simply not a fail point. Good quality power tools, including your precious DeWalts, rarely fail due to...

"So great?" ... I am thinking the designs from several would make a 'great' jig at a reasonable cost. The basic Kreg, even the HF jigs will work for most applications. Where we run into problems...

Tact? LOL, you should look in a mirror, dude, look in a mirror. And stop making assumptions about me while you're at it. You're right that the K5 stock thickness adjustment is on the back, but...

I can not actually find the Triton T6 in stock anywhere, even going outside the US. But the T6 seems to have almost all the same problems you mention with the Kreg K5 - made mostly of plastic, and...

I 3D printed a pocket hole jig and a few other jigs and all work decent. Especially when it only cost about $1 to print one. I can spend my hobby money on better power tools.

A long history, he trolls to pick out one piece to contradict and bait that identifies a 'Narcissistic personality disorder.' I never respond to his posts unless they are directed at me and even...

That guy sells really fancy mortise and tenon machines and hates pocket holes. So he set up a "test" to try to prove how bad pocket holes are, but the test is completely unrealistic, uses pocket...

It isn't just plastic, it is a really strong and stable, highly fiberglass reinforced nylon. It's not low quality and there would be no benefit to making it out of metal except "cosmetics".

This is so much cheaper than Kreg... Check the reviews. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C29KXNT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A205XN8QC1JZ9D&psc=1

I believe I’ve heard Norm Abrams state the same thing.

I would say that's ONE way to do it. Not necessarily the "best" way. The best way is the method that makes the most sense for each worker's productivity, accuracy, and cost/benefit. For the average,...

The reviews seem pretty mixed - several mention the depth adjustment being incorrect, and lots of them mention the quality of the drill bit being pretty poor. Add $15 to replace the drill. Also keep...

I personally made thousands from Fatwallet and SD is about 20x bigger, so you can imagine their income. Despite this, SD gives ZERO cashback. Their only motivation is clear. As long as they get...

Are you saying you remove pocket hole screws after applying glue?

keepa shows $21.99 price since at least August without changes. What makes it a good deal out of the sudden? Just curious...

I'd counter that. Been using Kreg K4 jig, accucut and rip cut. I can make cabinets with these few tools and my Ryobi $25 saw. I tweaked a few things to make it more accurate but each one of these...

Yes this site preys on hoarders, people who have shopping addictions, those who are naive regarding reviews, and what I hate the most is they have fake/disingenuous members constantly battering...

For pocket holes, glue doesn’t seem to multiply their strength like it does for dowels or mortise/tenon joints. Note, though, he is applying force to one of the weaker sides of a pocket hole, so the...

Ikr sunk cost fallacy type people. Imo pocket holes look ugly asf compared to regular screws. You only see the head with screws, but you see this giant long angled hole with pocket joinery.

Get the metal one with the vice grip. This looks like a nightmare. Also - these come with screws that I have not been able to find elsewhere. I HAVE been able to make my own from Home Depot and...

They’re part of their business. I think SD also runs some shill bots for their affiliates. More people who get suckered and purchase products through their clickthrough affiliate links, the more...

Yes, he invented and sells the "pantorouter" mortise and tenon machine. So yea, obviously he's got more than a little bias there. https://pantorouter.com/

In and endgrain-to-sidegrain glue-up, the glue will fail before the wood. Sidegrain to sidegrain? Glue will win every day.

Serious question: If the Triton is so great (and maybe it is, I've never even seen one in person), how come nobody in the USA seems to actually carry it? I went to Triton's website, and every place...

No, here is a video of the Triton that does it all from the user side and could be done one handed. With the Kreg K5, you are still playing with the initial clamp adjuster on the back side, before...

I prefer the k4 style with the clamp/base. I went with the harbor freight with a coupon and it worked great. Only problem I had was trying to use plastic hand clamps when fastening the pieces...

I paid about $45 for Keg. One of the hole are not straight. It design looks simple enough I'm not sure what could go wrong with this brand. Beside its half of the price comparing to Keg. Talking...

I could see that being true without some bonding agent but the pocket hole and fastener is only used to increase productivity. The strength of the joint comes from the glue. The screws just hold the...

First, strength is only one of many factors that come into play when considering the type of joinery you will use. One of the main purposes of pocket holes is to maintain the integrity of the outside...

I was just browsing the Kreg site due to today's Kreg R3 Jig deal and noticed that the Kreg drill guides all have lifetime warranties, so you should never have to worry about replacing the drill...

Pocket holes? Real men spend hours calculating a mortise and tenon then get a minor calculation wrong and stay up until 3am trying to fix it before realizing the garbage they created is inevitable.

Wow. That's pretty ingenious. They've practically made pocket hole joinery a no-brainer. The (short) video is especially informative. Thanks!

I'd stick with the kreg, especially if you can wait for it to go on sale with the clamp for$40. You still need to clamp this and if you get the kreg clamp you'll be paying the same. The keg bit...
I have this Massca pocket jig set and it's been great. I have used it weekly on furniture builds for the last 5 months without any issues.

If it were me, I would spend the $7 more for the Kreg, and get the $5 square bit Massca doesn't include, a higher quality drill bit, a nice case, and even a few screws and plugs to practice with. ...
