I get regular box end wrenches being 12 point because they are fixed, but on a ratcheting wrench there is no point to not do 6pt since you can just turn the end to make it fit.

Always break the fastener loose with a regular wrench then use these to speed things up. They will break pretty easy with a lot of torque which ends with a busted knuckle.. .
