Exact same sensor and lens it sounds like. I guess you could argue the ability to shoot/export as RAW is useful for that but I thought I read somewhere the v1 is getting that too.

It’s still $600+ out of pocket. The difference is you get gift cards as form of “rebate”. Yes, better than nothing, but it’s not $479 as you noted.
