Really, my 2017 iPad 5th gen has 2gb of ram and is faster than my pixel 3a that has 4gb of ram. The processor used makes a much bigger difference in terms of speed than ram.

The HD10 uses an octa core and the cores are FASTER then the HD8 + which uses a quad core. Fire HD10 (IMHO bare minimum to have a good android experience) > Fire HD 8+ (kind of sucks)
