I would not suggest the wyze option. You would need a different USB adapter to connect it to the pc. For 13 dollar, it’s a low cost camera to serve its low cost purpose.

Webcams don't really send data over your network, the applications that utilize your webcam do. And there are free tools like wireshark that can monitor traffic on your computer to check this.

Unless you install their driver/software which you shouldn't need to do, Webcam can't do much other than being a webcam since generic driver is standard.
