SSD can be upgraded with a 2230 m.2 nvme, RAM cannot be upgraded. And yes the keyboard / pen combo is just under $300.

S7 is a good tablet with good hardware but the apps match no where near what iPad has. Hardware is only 50% of device, app compatibility and app support is remaining 70%.

Personally I'd say that there are great tablet alternatives to Ipad.. this however is not a great one at the price point imo. The tab s7 and multiple great ipad variants at the same price points....
