Probably age, but for urinary tract, our vet suggested to add more wet food (and even make that a tad "soupier" by adding extra water to the broth - think "chunks in gravy" + water. Definitely helped...

I second what dabargainhunter said, and would also limit or stop any dry food as it's very hard on their kidneys.
