It's not unlocked but At&t Prepaid phones will work on most At&t MVNOs like Cricket, Freeup and H2o right out of the box. The Nokia 3.1A is on the laggy side.

Very solid basic budget phone for non-demanding users. I tossed my Freeup sim in it for about a week and messed around with it. Reception was way better than any of my Motos.
