Shucked it; can't return now.. Broke too many pins. lol.... Have you tried EXT4 noatime or BTRFS on SMR drives? I've never used ZFS which supposedly to guard against bit rot.

It kind of depends on your use case though. I wouldn't put it in my ZFS pool, but in my Unraid with a SSD cache, the limitations of these drives aren't even noticeable as long as you aren't filling...
