The Mediatek 1000C outperforms the SnapDragon 765G in initial testing for general use. And it'll likely get better battery life. You're right about specific games, though.

Unless you are playing some games optimized for Qualcomm chips, the top of line mediatek probably will perform better than the mid range 765G

yes, I did it for mine. It came out to $650 depend on your local tax. the other one you just have to pay tax for the tax.
