Why couldn't this have brown switches?!
Post #141595226 added 10-27-2020 3:58 PM by pugboy75 in Deal Talk
Keep in mind that these switches are EXTREMELY loud. Unless your kid will be using them in another room from you, I would not recommend blue switches. Brown are clickity, but quiet. Red are louder,...

They make way more money on the blues. Browns are very mushy to the blues user. I'd rather go reds than browns.

If you are spending less than 80 bucks you are wasting your money. Might as well get a 10 buck keyboard

I've had the 87 key for 2 years and it's going strong. I might buy the 104 key just cuz it'd be nice to have a numpad. Really good brand in my experience, solid quality for a solid price.

Blue and brown switches are generally intended for typing because they have a tactile “bump” when the keypress registers. Blues are clicky, while browns are quiet. My primary keyboard has blue...

My wife likes the clicky keyboards and doesn't care if her staff is bothered. I guess I lucked out because it never occurred to me to even check with her. I like my clicky keyboards too.

Many companies make dedicated media buttons on their 10KL keyboards. Red Dragon has a lot of nice ones with RGB and direct media control.

Exactly. IMHO, brown is the way to go. I'm waiting for a deal on a nice board with brown switches. The blues are obnoxiously loud.

Blue switches w/ o-rings really aren't that much worse than the noise of fingernails hitting plastic. I use blues in an office and have had 0 complaints.

I'm not defending it, but $45 is for the wireless mac version or something. Get the wired TKL and it frequently drops to $22. Also is Aukey a well known USA brand now?
