I've kind of had the opposite experience. My 6 and 8 year old Seagate RAIDs are still kicking just fine while my WD raid died. Seems like you just spin the wheel of shit and get what you get.

Weird thing is I already formatted it and am using it as a computer hard drive now(For backups and things) and it works just fine so if it was going to fail it sure is taking its sweet time
