Most tri-band wifi 6 (3 units) meshes are expensive. This is more comparable to the similarly priced Eero Pro 6, than the regular Eero. Short answer, tri-band, and wifi 6.

That's not true. Wifi 6 can use two or three bands so some wifi 6 devices do not have a backhaul band. Wifi 5 can have 3 bands as well and have a separate bandfor backhaul.
