I have both and can confirm they are the way they both late to the ear tips is the same (the ear tips from one can be used on the other).

I have been using beatsX for several months. The sound is just OK. (No highs or base) AirPods have much better sound IMO.

Bought another pair of these and the flex because they work great for motorcycle helmets. But yeah they fail at incredible rates. It's pathetic.
