They don't hit as low as other brands. So they tend to be loud, but unrefined. Good for shock and awe during a movie explosion where they can vibrate things, but not as good for music where accuracy...

If you need/want Dolby atmos that's up to you, most have said the built in ones in these speakers are not the best way to go. You can always add atmos any time later for not a lot of $$. Center...
