Can someone please comment - How does the RU9000 compare to the TU700D? Only focusing on the picture quality (price for TU700D is $1300 vs this for $1400.) I don’t care about extra HDMI ports.

Really had bad experience with SquareTrade warranty, which is owned by AllState. If they use the same tactics to deny legit ext warranties, this warranty by AllState may just be as good as nothing.

RU series isn't budget line, it signifies the model year. TU - 2020(UHD), RU - 2019(UHD), NU - 2018(UHD), MU - 2017(UHD) etc. This model is a series 9, pretty good in my opinion.
