Just find out that there are two EIMs which control the units. This explains why the thermostat only has two wires. Not sure about redlink, but I guess I can't use this one....Thanks for the help!

Yup this is why I got the Ecobee my system is oversized but I can tweak the advanced settings so the unit dosent short cycle and I get longer runtimes.

You need a third “common” wire. This is so the unit has constant 24v to power it at all times. At least that is my understanding.
