No. Home theater speakers are generally not advised to be used for karaoke and mic input as the sound input from the mic can damage the speakers.

Were yours double boxed? The heavier the item, the more likely ups is to throw it around. Mine came from NJ to IL, passing at least 3 or 4 (or more) hubs.
