Good size if you have a smaller desk; pixel pitch is the same as a larger 32" 1440p monitor, so text should be crisp.

It'll be lighter with much thinner bezels, but not worth upgrading. Not even sure if it's an upgrade, the image is probably better on the Ultrasharp from 2011.

Probably. Some older Ultrasharps used CCFL backlights, and those were subject to dimming and image degradation with heavy use. Not so much of an issue once Dell switched to LEDs.
